The Designer
The inspiration and the creative force behind Baronessa Demi-Couture is Marta Berz, fashion designer and a famous model. Marta has been surrounded by fashion and style since her childhood – been brought up in the professional tailors’ family, has had a remarkable modelling career as well as successfully pursued a fashion designer degree.
Marta has made her international modelling breakthrough in 2003 and has worked with world famous brands as Chanel, Christian Dior, Donna Karan, Hermes, Chloe, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Versace and made campaigns with Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Balenciaga, Valentino, Moschino, Just Cavalli and others.
Having been immersed in various cultures, together with her experience modelling for numerous fashion icons and the media (Vogue France, Vogue Italy, Vogue Germany, Vogue Japan и Vogue Russia, W, V and other editorials), she was able to soak in the feeling and the mood of the fashion trends and express her experiences, taste and understanding of femininity and sexuality in her own collections.
Dragonfly
Creating spring summer collection 2019, designer Marta Berz was inspired by Leucorrhinia, a unique black onyx dragonfly with exceptional shapes that is worshiped by attention of male species. Elegance, desire and imperious nature formed an image of a classy woman.
The excess of black colour in the garments of the collection emphasizes nature of a female predator, which not only gently fascinates, but seduces and subjugates. Along with provocative mystery and power, the ‘dragonfly’ woman also combines fragile and feminine characteristics.
The collection is presented with luxurious evening and cocktail dresses, as well as elegant classic costumes and blouses. Shoulder lines of garments carry the touches of dragonfly wings, and waistline is evidently fragile. The symphony of colour and light is emphasized in decoration – embroidery with silver thread using crystals and pearls. The grace of the dragonfly is achieved through the Lunéville embroidery technique.
Distinctive features of Marta Berz’s collection are superior handcraft, abundance of embroidery and lace, and use of the finest materials – 925 sterling silver, zirconium and crystals. Fine silk and velvet, both so different in texture fabrics are harmoniously combined in Dragonfly collection.
