There is nothing more mysterious and captivating than a woman with a passion for love and life.
For this season, Reine de Passion “Queen of Passion” speaks strength, romance, magic, and mystery.
In recent months I’ve been immersed in a world of different cultures, diversity, and history. Travelling from my home, Australia to Vietnam, Milan, Venice, and Paris has inspired me to create the silhouettes of this collection. The shapes, corsetry, crinoline, and bustles are an acknowledgment of the 19th Century, made contemporary and chic through the integration of a structural blazer contrasting with soft tulle fabrics, all featuring additions such as the kiss – a symbol of love and romance.
The brand’s signature of circular volumes and sculptural ruffles are the highlights of this season’s collection: striking yet feminine, bold yet sensual. High soft tulle feather necklines contrast with the structured tailoring of the blazer, while the feather silhouette wraps around shoulders, skirts and cocktail dresses. It is synthesis at its finest.
Silhouettes of voluminous skirts where fullness comes from the hip rather than the natural waist and exaggerated bell sleeves create a bold, modern dimension. The intricate hand embellishment takes passion to create, resembling historic techniques of a traditional prêt-à-couture atelier. The interchangeability of each of the garments juxtaposes these historic techniques with styling that is modern and unique.
Attitudes and emotions of Reine De Passion are expressed through my color choices of the romantic softness of ivory, pink champagne, lavender, metallic silver, and gold through to the mysterious darker hues of rouge and midnight black.
The Betty Tran brand always seeks to add value, inspire and encourage generations of women to believe in themselves. The Reine de Passion collection is my contribution to the dreams and passions of women.
